This extension allows users to control all animations across websites and formats. It works on all animated image formats and animated SVG. Does not affect video.
Video Blocker
* Prevents all web videos from automatically playing on pages. * Allows you to whitelist specific domains like youtube.com where you want videos to play. * Allows you to enable a single video by clicking on the video directly. * If you find a video this extension is not currently blocking, I'd love to hear about it. Hit me up on twitter @benplowman. New in version 1.2 (October 2022): * Fixed a bug where several languages were poorly translated. * Migrated to the latest version of the Chrome Extensions framework (manifest v3) New in version 1.0: * Reduce CPU usage in pages with lots of content updates. * Support for adding domains with multiple parts like "stan.com.au" to the allow list. Before you could only add the end of the domain, "com.au", to the allow list, which didn't make much sense. * Removed unused notifications permission.
Block Image|Video
Block Image|Video is an extension that lets you easily block or hide desired items (image, video, etc.) with just one click. Once you add this addon to your browser, a button will appear in the toolbar. This button shows that the addon is active (with red color). Now, before using the addon, please visit the options page and choose a desired item(s) to block or hide (i.e. image). Within the options page, if you choose to - hide - items, the addon allows these item(s) to be loaded in the browser, but, will make them invisible. On the other hand, if you choose to - block - any item, the addon prevents that specific item from loading into your browser. This way, loading the web pages may become faster, and you need to turn off the addon and reload the page to make them visible again. Note: before using the addon, please visit the addon's options page and adjust the item(s) you want to block or hide. To report bugs, please visit the addon homepage (https://mybrowseraddon.com/block-image-video.html) and fill out the bug report form.
Images ON/OFF
Use this extension to disable/enable images on the current site. It works on "per host" basis and will disable images for the given host (the currently selected tab), not for all hosts. There are some options available, but basically, the extension does just that and nothing more.
Disable Autoplay for YouTube™
Disable Autoplay for YouTube™ is a lite extension that lets you easily stop/pause YouTube videos from auto-playing. The toolbar button serves as an ON|OFF switch for this addon (the icon will change color accordingly). The red color shows an active state and the dark grey color shows a disabled state. To work with this addon, please add this addon to your browser and then start browsing YouTube. When the addon is active, videos are stopped automatically from playing when you open one. When videos are stopped, the buffering does not continue. You can change this behavior from the options page and let the videos "pause" instead of "stop". This way, the buffering continues but the video won't play. There is another option on the settings page to play or pause videos when a tab is focused or hidden (unfocused). These two options are not active by default. This addon works for all YouTube videos whether they are embedded or not. However, you can disable this feature from the settings page. Note 1: when you switch to the miniplayer, the video stops again. So if you want to use the youtube miniplayer feature, please turn off this addon. Note 2: by default, this addon does not work for youtube shorts and the small video player on the channel page. To enable this feature, please mark option #3 on the settings page. To report bugs, please fill out the bug report form on the addon's homepage (https://mybrowseraddon.com/disable-autoplay.html).
