Disable Autoplay for YouTube™ is a lite extension that lets you easily stop/pause YouTube videos from auto-playing. The toolbar button serves as an ON|OFF switch for this addon (the icon will change color accordingly). The red color shows an active state and the dark grey color shows a disabled state. To work with this addon, please add this addon to your browser and then start browsing YouTube. When the addon is active, videos are stopped automatically from playing when you open one. When videos are stopped, the buffering does not continue. You can change this behavior from the options page and let the videos "pause" instead of "stop". This way, the buffering continues but the video won't play. There is another option on the settings page to play or pause videos when a tab is focused or hidden (unfocused). These two options are not active by default. This addon works for all YouTube videos whether they are embedded or not. However, you can disable this feature from the settings page. Note 1: when you switch to the miniplayer, the video stops again. So if you want to use the youtube miniplayer feature, please turn off this addon. Note 2: by default, this addon does not work for youtube shorts and the small video player on the channel page. To enable this feature, please mark option #3 on the settings page. To report bugs, please fill out the bug report form on the addon's homepage (https://mybrowseraddon.com/disable-autoplay.html).
Stop AutoPlay Next for YouTube™
Stop YouTube from playing the next track, and auto navigate to the next suggestion (aka disable autoplay button) The "Stop AutoPlay Next for YouTube" extension permanently disables YouTube from auto-playing the next suggested track by rejecting access to the module. This module is responsible for loading the next track (suggested track). It also dims the next playing item in the right sidebar area of the YouTube pages. The extension also turns the auto-play button off in the player area. Notes: After installing this extension, the next track suggestion box is blurred. After installing this extension, the next slider button on the player is removed. You can change the opacity of this box or hide it by setting the opacity value to zero (not available on v3). Use Cases: Open YouTube just to play a song. Open multiple players in the background.
YouTube™ No Buffer - Stop Autoplaying
Prevents YouTube HTML5 and Flash players from auto-buffering (auto-playing) videos This extension stops YouTube HTML5 and Flash players from auto-buffering videos. Using this add-on (extension) you can save bandwidth and also prevent YouTube on multiple tabs from buffering media simultaneously. You will have to click on the player to allow buffering of the media files. Once a player is buffered, it can play multiple tracks. There is no need to activate the player on each new track (so you can easily watch playlists for instance). Notes: 1. As of version 0.2.4, this extension is compatible with YouTube's material design 2. As of version 0.2.5, this extension is not working on the old non-material design 3. If you would like the extension to not stop buffering when switching back and forth to the mini-player ("i" keyword on YouTube pages), go to the options page and check "Do not stop the player if the player is already playing" option. 4. This extension is compatible with ad-blocker extensions operating on YouTube pages.
YouTube™ Stop Button
Adds a stop button to the player interface to unload the player and stop the video from buffering any time. This extension unloads the YouTube player without affecting the actual page. Removing the player eliminates any network requests to fetch or buffer the video. This is especially useful when you wish to watch the video later without YouTube preloading it and consuming your bandwidth. Key Features: 1. Disables automatic buffering 2. Halts player-related network activities 3. Unloads the player while keeping the page intact The extension introduces a new "Stop" button located next to the "Play" button. Click the "Stop" button whenever you want to unload the player. Additional Notes: 1. This extension exclusively supports the HTML5 player, offering no compatibility with Youtube's old Flash player. 2. Built on manifest v3, this extension adheres to the specified guidelines. 3. It only operates when the "Stop" button is triggered and remains in an idle state at all other times, ensuring no background activities are running.
No Playlist Autoplay For YouTube
When you finish a video in a playlist, the next video won't start unless you click on it. You can toggle this on and off. When a video in a playlist ends, the next video doesn't start until you click on it. Click the extension icon to toggle this behaviour on and off. (No refresh of YouTube is required after toggling.) Alternatively use the shortcut (ctrl+shift+y), which can be changed at chrome://extensions/shortcuts
