This extension is for anyone, who uses websites with pop-up ads (ads that open in a new tab). Note! Redirections to ads in the same tab still work! You can try to block them by using other extensions or simply return with "back" button. TabBlock does not block any normal ads. Manifest v3 Update: The new approach in Manifest v3 prevents extensions from running in the background all the time, leading to a cold start that can significantly increase the time needed to close a new tab. However, this is purely a cosmetic downgrade - TabBlock now filters out all requests to new tabs instantly, in addition to its ability to close tabs. This means that even if you see a tab open, it won’t begin to load at all.
Redirect Blocker
Redirect Blocker saves you from facing potential malicious/annoying redirects. For example, when on websites like Soap2day or other similar sites, you have to fight for your life closing and avoiding redirects to get to the page wanted, but with this extension, it is easy as pie, and also a much more pleasant experience. Disclaimer: Redirect Blocker is not affiliated with Soap2Day or any other website that hosts pirated content. The extension is intended to be used for legal purposes only. Users who use the extension for illegal purposes do so at their own risk. NOTES: - Can easily toggle extension to block redirects on specific tabs or all tabs. - For ease, use the shortcuts, alt + shift + s/a (or change to your own), to toggle the extension on and off. - If a redirect is needed, switch tabs to one with the extension disabled or toggle it off and back on. - If you face any issues, https://github.com/Tyson3101/Redirect-Blocker/issues is the best place to go. - Hope it's helpful!
Popup Blocker
This extension automatically closes tabs and windows opened by ad-requiring sites You may be browsing normally and then you click somewhere on the page and then a new tab opens, suddenly, pointing to an ad, without you initiating it. This extension automatically closes those tabs/windows. It's not an Adblocker; it's a tab/window-containing-ad closer. ;) Once a site has that behaviour (where it opens random popups/tabs annoyingly), simply click on the extension and click "Add Site". Once that is done, the extension manages all tabs and windows opened from that particular site, automatically closing them if needed. To remove a site from the "monitored list", you can always click the extension again and click "Remove Site". Note that I intentionally created the extension to be lightweight, doing nothing but its intended task. Note that after adding a site, all new tabs opened that start with the protocol+hostname of that site will be allowed; all others won't. This means that if https://www.adopeningsite.com is added, then all sites starting with https://www.adopeningsite.com like https://www.adopeningsite.com/clickads or https://www.adopeningsite.com/hoverads will be allowed to open in a new tab. The others will be automatically closed. To purposely open a new tab that has its protocol+hostname different from that of the site, right click the link and choose "Purposely open in a new tab".

Changes links passed through redirection scripts (e.g. /cgi-bin/redirect.cgi?url=http://foo.com - often used for tracking click-throughs or forcing visitors through an intermediate adverts page) to point straight to the final URL. PopUpOFF - Popup and overlay blocker
Removes and prevents popups, overlays and cookie notifications, other tools do not. Enjoy the original look of the internet. Hey! Have you seen the terrific rating above? You must be wondering: “Is it finally a good popup blocker? Should I try it?” Do read the text below to find out if that's something you'd like to give a try. So, answering your questions: “No and Yes” - it isn’t some “good” popup blocker. PopUpOFF is brilliant: https://github.com/RomanistHere/PopUpOFF/issues/16 - and you should definitely try it if you are as annoyed with popups, cookie notifications, overlays and other sticky things that overlay content as I do. - PopUpOFF doesn’t just block some popups that other developers paid for, but YOU are in control of it. You decide not to have any single overlay on the screen or casually remove only the most annoying things (hi cookie notifications and subscription popups). - You can unlock and read PAID content FOR FREE on some websites (see the video above). - Size of this extension is 100 times less than any other average popup blocker in the store. Size doesn’t matter? Well… I wouldn't be so sure about that. - PopUpOFF is a non-commercial and open-source project. It means no ads, no tracking, everything it has is available for you for free and forever. I am RomanistHere and I’m giving you this piece of better web. - It still is in development, so there could be bugs or imperfect solutions, I’m working on it solo and there are other things in the world to do. So be gentle, I created it for myself back then, but now I’m doing it for you. - PopUpOFF is as addictive as it gets. After you start using it, there would be no way back. You were warned :) Sounds interesting? Go get it. Write “hello” to me, share the feedback. Check what else I’m doing. There are probably other pieces of better web. Be cool, be gentle, help me make the world better. Not saying goodbye. Have a better life now :)
