English to Japanese Translator
Translate ANY and ALL English text to Japanese (TextToSpeech & Romaji included) 1. I have added an ON/OFF button in the settings 2. The "Enter to Translate" has been replaced with "Shift or Enter to Translate". When toggled on, you can either press 'Shift' or 'Enter' to translate. When toggled off, translation will happen automatically. Translate any text on the internet with ease. Just select the text and press your Enter key and you will get Kanji, Romaji, and an option for computer generated speech. You have some settings as well! You can choose to disable Romaji and Kanji depending on your learning preference. Using the "Enter to Translate" toggle, you can decide whether you want to only translate selected text after you press the Enter key, or translate ANY text you select immediately. If your ever browsing the internet and wonder what the Japanese translation of a certain English word is, just select the text. What's great is that there is no limit to how much text you can select. You can select a single word, or even a paragraph if you want! Here is a summer project I worked on. I've been studying Japanese and wish I had this tool. Every installation is appreciated! PLEASE give feedback! This is just version 1.0. I want to upgrade the extension based on the feedback I get from this. Feel free to use the Rate feature to give a comment and feedback on the latest version. Note: The audio may sound weird on some sites as I am unable to use the more regular sounding Google Text to Speech API on all sites. Thus, I have to fall back to the built-in speechSynthesis API (If anybody knows how to fix this let me know!) Thank you once again for using this extension!
