There is a growing interest in streaming media tracks in segments to eliminate buffering delays and ensure a responsive player, even on low-quality networks. This extension is designed to address merging these DASH tracks by locally merging them into a single playable track, compatible with any standard media player. Users can set or remove delays between tracks before merging. To maintain quality, each track is initially converted to a PCM buffer, and then they are merged in the user-defined order with optional delays. The output format of this extension is WAV (equivalent to the "audio/wav" MIME type), which is a lossless but large format. To reduce file size, users can use online tools or browser extensions to convert the WAV format to a lossy but compressed format like MP3. Notes: - This extension operates entirely offline, with no data transmitted to or from a remote service. - Unlike some counterparts, this extension does not rely on native complements for the merging process. Instead, it leverages the robust built-in AudioContext component of HTML5.

Video & Audio Muxer
Mux video and audio files from selected formats inside your browser! Video & Audio Muxer is an add-on that helps you easily mux video-only and audio-only files and generate a video file with embedded audio in your browser. It uses the FFmpeg library which is compiled from C and C++ language to JavaScript with the Emscripten project. Emscripten is a source-to-source compiler that can compile native C/C++ codes to JavaScript language. To work with this add-on, just open the app UI and drag input files (video & audio) in the app UI (top section). Then, press the - Command - button to insert the mux command, and finally press the - Mux - button to start the job. Once the muxing is done, a preview of the resulting video will be shown and a - Download - button will also appear. To switch the app theme to dark, please press the moon icon next to the - Mux - button. Note 1: if you are familiar with FFmpeg commands, you can enter your mux command in the input field. The - Command - button in the app only inserts a common mux command. Note 2: the default extension for the output video file is set automatically based on the input video and audio formats. However, you can change this file extension, but please enter a proper FFmpeg command to change the final file extension, otherwise, the FFmpeg engine will not be able to mux the inputs for the chosen output file extension. Note 3: if you have a feature request, or found a bug to report, please fill out the bug report form on the addon's homepage (https://mybrowseraddon.com/video-audio-muxer.html).
