Grayscale and invert the colors on the web page. Working in dark mode is easier on the eyes and will allow you to continue writing that important document long into the night, without disrupting your ability to sleep. Sadly, not all web sites have a dark mode, which is where this simple extension comes in handy. It will change the colors on the page by first performing a grayscale (removing colors) and then inverting them (but only by 90%). The result is a type of dark mode that is not too harsh on the eyes. It can be used on any web site and can be turned on and off in different tabs. All you need to do is add the extension, have it pinned to always be shown, then simply click on the extension icon to turn it on and off.

Apply color inversion to a webpage on Chrome by: - Selection - Page Created to test how inversion of colors may increase visibility of images for those with colorblindness. Invert Canvas
This inverts the colours of any canvases on the current page. This extension inverts the colours of any canvases on the current tab. Might be useful if you enjoy strange colour combinations. Or to make a faux dark theme in DAE. DAE only updates the parts of the screen that change. So click the extension's icon (it'll probably be in the extensions menu, the jigsaw piece looking thing), then open a new tab within DAE and close it, that'll update the whole screen.
High Contrast V3
Change or invert the color scheme to make webpages easier to read. High Contrast lets you browse the web with your choice of several high-contrast color filters designed to make it easier to read text. When you install this extension, all pages are "inverted", so black becomes white and white becomes black. Press the "browser action" icon in the toolbar to toggle it on and off, or customize your settings on a per-site basis. Use a convenient keyboard shortcut to quickly change your settings while you browse. Other extensions try to change the default colors, but this ends up breaking many popular websites. Only this extension applies filters to your page that invert almost everything - the only exception is photos, which are left alone. Also note that the Chrome web store and other built-in pages like the New Tab page and Settings pages are unaffected - extensions like this one are not allowed to modify them, by design. We care about your privacy — this extension never collects or shares personal data. View the open-source code, report bugs, or contribute here: https://github.com/extenhive/HighContrast
Invert Color
Inverted colors on any page. > I've been using a Chrome extension called "Invert!" for years. It always inverted colors with one click. But recently, Chrome says it's no longer supported. I missed it so much — and it was hard to find a substitute. Most are either slow, apply weird color filters, run at low resolution, or require multiple clicks just to work. This extension does one thing, and does it well: It inverts the colors of any webpage — instantly, with just one click. ✅ Fast ✅ Lightweight ✅ Private (does nothing besides apply the effect) Perfect for night browsing, high-contrast needs, or just saving your eyes.
