Allow only one new tab page at a time. Cases when you actually need more than one new tab are few and far between. This extension automatically closes all extra new tabs to unclutter your browser.
Tab Auto Refresh
Tab Auto Refresh is a browser addon that helps you automatically reload (refresh) tabs of your choice. To operate with this addon, please open toolbar popup UI while you are visiting a website. Adjust time interval in seconds (i.e. 120 sec) and you are all set. Selected tab will be reloaded based on the interval you just set. Please note reloading occurs based on tab URL not tab ID or domain. If you want to stop the current "reload" task, please press on the "stop" button at top left corner in toolbar popup UI. Alternatively you can set the interval to 0 which is equal to stop function. If you have many tabs reloading and do not want to visit each tab to clear the reloading task, please open toolbar popup UI and press on the "reset" (top right) button to do so. This button serves as a global reset button and clears the reloading task for all tabs. Note: The toolbar popup interface supports dark mode. To switch the popup interface theme to dark, please press the moon icon on the bottom left corner. To report bugs, please visit addon's homepage (https://mybrowseraddon.com/tab-auto-refresh.html) and fill the bug report form.
AutoMute
Automatically mutes each new tab the instant it is opened. Are you getting tired of obnoxious ads blaring sound while you're browsing? AutoMute automatically mutes every page opened in your browser, effectively allowing you to opt-in to hear audio in a web page, instead of forcing you to opt-out.
Load Background Tabs Lazily
This extension duplicates some of the behavior of an old Firefox extension that is no longer maintained, Load Tabs Progressively. Load Background Tabs Lazily places newly created background tabs in a line and allows only a specific number to load, while blocking the rest. A tab is removed from the line once it has finished loading. The first blocked tab in the line is then allowed to load. This extension was designed for users with slow internet connections that routinely open multiple background tabs at the same time. It also helps users that open many background tabs at once by not overwhelming their browser or CPU. Only background tabs with http(s) URLs are added to the line. Middle click (or Ctrl click) a link, bookmark, or bookmark folder to create background tabs. Various commands or settings for this extension may be accessed in its Options page or toolbar button popup. The toolbar button may be pinned by clicking the 'Extensions' button that looks like a puzzle piece on the toolbar. Permissions used: ▸ non-optional: 'contextMenus', 'declarativeNetRequest' (Block content on any page), 'storage', 'tabs' (Read your browsing history)*, 'webNavigation' (Read your browsing history) ▸ optional: '' (Read and change all your data on all websites), 'browsingData', 'downloads' (Manage your downloads), 'nativeMessaging' (Communicate with cooperating native applications), 'tabGroups' (View and manage your tab groups), 'webRequest' * The 'tabs' permission allows this extension to view the the url, pendingUrl, title, and favIconUrl properties of a tab.
Tab Activate
New tabs open immediately instead of in the background Please read the detailed description of required permissions (below) and why they are necessary. Without them, Tab Activate could not work as described. Absolutely no data is changed or collected. When you open a link in a new tab, Chrome opens the new tab in the background and provides no option to switch to it immediately. With Tab Activate, new tabs open immediately instead of in the background. To override Tab Activate and open a new tab in the background, press the Shift key while opening the new tab. Note: Override does not work for bookmarks. In other browsers, this setting is called: "When you open a link in a new tab, switch to it immediately." Read and change all your data on the websites you visit: Required to detect when the Shift key is pressed (no website data is read or changed) Due to limitations in the Chrome extension API, the only way to detect if the Shift key is being pressed is with the required permissions. Absolutely no data is changed or collected. Version 3.1 Improved Shift key detection when the window loses focus. Improved error handling. Fixed a console error. Version 2.1 New icon. Fixed issues created by Chrome 79 extension API changes. Version 1.2 New tabs open to the right of the previous tab and new background tabs open at the end. Version 1.1 Shift key overrides Tab Activate and opens new tabs in the background.
