Reveal the password hidden behind asterisks on login pages Web browsers hide the passwords on login pages behind asterisks for security reason. Whether you are logging into Facebook, Gmail, PayPal or Twitter, all secure websites offer an option to save passwords in the browser but none would reveal the passwords in plain text. Microsoft Edge browser adds an eye icon to the password field to let you quickly mask and unmask the characters. This Google Chrome extension uses a similar approach. It shows the passwords when you focus the password field and replaces the characters with dots as soon as you move the cursor out of the password field. Some websites, for example PayPal, do not offer the option to save your password in the browser. This Google Chrome extension overrides the default behaviour and lets you save the password so you can quickly login to your favourite websites without having to enter the password each time. It does so by adding the autocomplete=on property to the input password fields but, unfortunately, in the newer releases on Google Chrome, the property is ignored.
Show Password - Most Secure Password Viewer
Your privacy matters. We respect your own data and never ask for unnecessary permissions. No tracking code or no 3rd-party script injected. How to use: In most cases ( ~98% ), just right click on password box and choose "Show / Hide Password", the password will be revealed in plain text mode. Choose again it will be switched back to password mode. In rare cases ( ~2% ), after clicking "Show / Hide Password" menu item, the login iframe will be opened in a new tab. Then right click on password box again to view password. That's because there is an embedded and its origin differs than its parent document. In order to get permission we need to open iframe in new tab. Still have concern about its security? Gmail Sender Icons
Quickly identify the sender of email messages in Gmail without opening the message. Gmail Sender Icons is a Google Chrome extension that makes it easy for you to quickly and visually identify email senders in Gmail. It shows the company domain name of the email sender and the official logo (favicon) of the sender's organization alongside the email message. For instance, if you receive an email from larry@google.com, the Gmail extension will add a virtual label google.com to your email message and also a logo of the Google website next to the message so you can immediately identify the sender in the email list. Gmail Sender Icons has been featured on Product Hunt, LifeHacker, The Next Web and host of popular websites. The favicons and the sender's domain are visible across Gmail including search results. The sender's label is applied virtually and the actual labels of the email message are left unchanged. The Gmail Chrome extension uses the Google S2 service for generating the website's favicon while the Gmail messages are parsed with the Inbox SDK framework. All processing is done locally in your browser and no Gmail data is ever shared or uploaded anywhere. The add-on is open source and the code is available on Github.
