Facebook Auto-Refresh Blocker
Prevents Facebook from auto-refreshing when you return to the tab after inactivity. Keep your place in the feed! Facebook Auto-Refresh Blocker prevents Facebook from automatically refreshing your feed when you return to the tab after switching away. If you've ever lost your place while scrolling because Facebook refreshed the page, this extension solves that problem. When you switch to another tab or window, Facebook detects the inactivity using the Page Visibility API. After a couple of minutes, when you return, Facebook automatically refreshes the entire feed, losing your scroll position. This extension intercepts those mechanisms and maintains your exact position in the feed. Key Features: - Blocks automatic feed refresh when returning to Facebook tabs - Maintains scroll position and prevents lost content - Simple one-click toggle to enable or disable - Works automatically in the background - Zero data collection and completely private - No external connections or tracking - Lightweight with minimal performance impact Privacy and Security: This extension does not collect, store, or transmit any user data. It works entirely client-side on your device. The extension only accesses Facebook domains and requires minimal permissions: storage for saving your on/off preference locally, and tabs permission to allow the optional reload button in the popup interface. How to Use: 1. Install the extension 2. Visit Facebook - protection is automatic 3. Click the extension icon to toggle on/off or reload the tab 4. Browse Facebook normally without worry about losing your place This extension is completely free with no premium features, paid upgrades, or hidden costs. The code is transparent and designed solely to improve your Facebook browsing experience. This extension is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Facebook or Meta in any way. It is an independent tool created to enhance user experience.
Disable automatic tab discarding
Stops Chrome from suspending tabs, and reloading them when you switch to them. This extension automatically tells Chrome that every tab you open is "not auto discardable". This might help solve issues where Chrome kills more tabs than you would want to, however, this is not foolproof, and tabs might still get discarded if your system is out of memory. No configuration needed, the extension will mark every open tab as "not auto discardable" as long as you installed the extension and haven't disabled it. Want to make sure this extension is working? Go to chrome://discards in a new tab and see how every row has a cross in the "auto discardable" column.
Don't discard
Disables automatic tab discarding feature, configurable for specific urls. The conditions to determine which tabs to be disabled can be configured at option page using regular expression based on website's url, otherwise automatic discarding will be turned off for entire tabs by default. The relevant tabs must be reloaded to be taking effect by this extension. Note that only "turning off discarding" will be taking care of, which means that this extension never turns it on back once a tab were effected even if the tab doesn't hit the conditions any more. To turn on the feature again, please configure it manually by visiting browser's discarding setting page. Also relaunching the browser itself is one of the ways to sync the actual tab's states against the configured conditions.
