Adds an icon with your selected MLB team's game information with real-time score and in-game data. Note: This extension does not support the Vivaldi browser - it has some differences from Google Chrome around how extensions are handled that cause the extension to not function properly. This extension adds an icon with your chosen MLB baseball team at the top of the browser that shows information about today's game in the icon's hover-text, real-time score and play information during games (including teams, location, inning, and pitcher), and the appropriate win/loss flag when it's over! This is an active project - if you find a bug (or think of a useful feature), please report it via the extension's page in the Chrome store, and I'll get it updated as soon as I can! Change History: 1.3 - Fixed bug where the "Teams" list could show just the first 2 teams repeatedly on initial startup 1.4 - Fixed time zone issue, changed icon left-click from Scoreboard to the current game's Box Score 1.5 - Fix issue with hovertext when a team has >10 runs 1.6 - Handle games that are Postponed 1.7 - Handle games that are Delayed Start 1.8 - Fixed issue where Delayed Start game wouldn't get updates right away after starting 2.0 - Updated to use MLB's new API, and updated the in-game icon so that you can see the score as well as what bases have runners on them, how many outs, top/bottom and inning number. Also includes additional info in hover-text like number of balls, strikes, outs, and current batter. Revert to the old, simpler in-game icon by ticking the "Enable Simplified In-Game View" option in the right-click menu. 2.1 - Fixed an issue with a previously unseen game state that caused game status to no longer update. Implemented a workaround that should prevent this from causing breaking changes in the future. 2.2 - Fixed a bug occurring on days with no games, and added handling for new game status. 2.3 - Fixed a (timezone conversion) bug causing night games to not register as a game today. 2.4 - Updated game postponement info in hover text 2.5 - Fixed a bug in the hovertext where the incorrect team would be named with players on base 2.6 - Added a third view option for non-fans to only see if there's a home game today or not without any game details, and restructured the menu a bit to accommodate it 2.7 - Added Arizona timezone 3.0 - Updated to Extension Manifest v3, logic updates to handle changes in MLB API that broke in-game hovertext, added partial/hack support for Vivaldi browser (which only shows one sub-menu, so Team is now first, still no way to change timezone or mode), updated Indians team name to Guardians. This release required a TON of changes; please let me know what issues you find. 3.1 - Fixed logo image quality issue
Enhanced ESPN NBA box score
Improve the ESPN NBA box score viewing experience This extension adds custom CSS to the ESPN NBA box score to improve the viewing experience. NOTES - When you land on the box score page you may need to refresh your browser. For best results use the basketball icon popover or open a new tab and hit: https://espn.com/nba/scoreboard ENHANCEMENTS - Fits everything on one page. Team box scores appear side-by-side rather than stacked. If you wish to remove ads you will need to use an ad blocker. - Adds utm params to hoopsjunkie.io links so I can attribute traffic from extension cross-promotional block. - Adds shameless plug for https://hoopsjunkie.io to popover. - More updates to order of box score columns after yet another ESPN change. Hopefully soon they settle on the original layout and I don't have to make any changes at all. - Stat changes in the box score are now highlighted based on whether they are a positive change or a negative change. For example a missed shot is red while a made shot is green. Fouls, turnovers and a negative change in +/- are also red. - Fixes an issue where team shooting percentages weren't added to the page when navigating between different games. - Change column order back to the classic arrangement. This includes removing the new columns with the actual field goal percentage. I've tried to make this change is low impact as possible (in the interest of making it as maintainable as possible). If you for some reason prefer the new layout I may consider adding some kind of toggle but the majority of people seemed to be opposed to the new column layout so I'm hoping this is a welcome change. - Increase frequency of score updates in the browser tab. - Score in browser tab updates more frequently - Adjusts page width to fit new columns which ESPN have added - Fixes an issue where clicking box score link during live game was taking a user to the gamecast page. This is an ESPN bug but I have fixed it in the extension because there's a good chance it takes ESPN a while to fix. - Use 10 minute quarters for women's college basketball (instead of 20 minute halves) - Fix TS% calculation for men's and women's college basketball - NRTG, ORTG and DRTG now show .0 if ratings are an integer (with no decimal place) - Fixes sport name calculation for .com.au and .co.uk domains - Adds advanced stats for men's and women's college basketball. - Handle broadcaster for summer league - Reduce horizontal spacing between date nav (it was busted in May) - Adds support for new broadcasters which are appearing (MSG network, NBC). Also added Amazon Prime in preparation for next season. - Stops the sticky header functionality and removes some drop shadows from the play-by-play and team stats iFrames. - Remember your last sport so it doesn't revert to NBA each time you re-open the extension popover - Adds a "Top 25 only" checkbox which you can toggle to see all division one NCAA Men's / Women's games. I noticed a lot of Rutgers games weren't appearing in the popover. Your preference will also be remembered when you re-open the extension. - Adds "storage" permission request (in order to remember "last sport" and "Top 25 only" preferences). - Adds G-League scores to popover and applies CSS and JS to G-League pages. - Fix advanced stats being duplicated and never updated - Fix score in tab for college sports (was previously undefined) - In extension popup, reset page number to one when user changes date or sport - Adds play-by-play highlighting (green for positive plays, red for negative). - Adds scores to tab (eg. MIL 48 - 70 MEM). - Scores now update every extension popover / popup. - Adds NCAA Mens and Womens support (this may be a little janky to start with and I've disabled advanced stats until I can make sure they line up with Basketball References numbers. - Adds pagination to extension popover / popup. Not sure if this will ever be necessary but with the addition of college sports there may be some epic game days (eg March Madness). - Previous day stays active for 8 hours after midnight EST. This means you won't have to navigate back to the previous day while the late west coast games are still live. - Adds fallback icon in case team logo can't be found (this happens a bit in pre-season with the non-NBA teams). - Fixes an issue where scoreboard and standings links weren't being updated when a user changed sports. - Adds sport nav to toggle between NBA and WNBA. - Highlight on-court players. This works based on the five players who's stats most recently changed. - Fix issue with play-by-play and team stats disappearing once a game transitions to the "Final" state. - Added play-by-play to box score page - Added team stats to box score page (including advanced stats which update during a game) - Show game start times in a user's local timezone. - Highlight score changes as they happen with yellow background (check out a WNBA game while it's live to see it in action). - Behind the scenes refactor of browser popover. - Adds Summer League to the extension popover. - Fixes CSS on box scores so they are once again side-by-side. - Due to some major behind the scenes changes to the ESPN box scores, none of the old JavaScript works any more. That means no advanced stats, highlighting stats as they change, show current on court players, play-by-play stats below the box score, and all of the other cool stuff. - Adds "Standings" button to extension popover for easier access. - Updates for Vegas Summer League. - Styled updates to make background colour consistently white. - Fixes play-by-play iframe on box score page. - Updates link in extension popover so it uses ESPN's updated "/_/" style URL scheme. - Updated to handle new URLs. This fixes a bug where clicking between box scores would cause the extension to stop working. - Popup updates to handle NBA restart (don't look for Summer League schedule). - Fix issue with team records not appearing in browser extension popup. - Add support for WNBA. - Fixed a bug with play-by-play not updating after initial load. - Fixed an all-star weekend bug with all star teams not having win/loss records. - Added team foul count to play-by-play. Cumulative quarter-by-quarter numbers don't always line up with team totals in box scores yet. - Added team records to extension popup prior to a match has beginning. - Fixes to improve box score, play-by-play and gamecast appearance on ESPN fantasy pages. - Added individual team possession counts. - Added a close button to the red extension navigation so it can be hidden (will re-appear if you refresh the page). - Fixed a bug with Summer League game URLs in the extension popup. - Added Summer League support and a link to ESPN's Summer League scoreboard. - Added Summer League games to extension popup. - Added more consistent layouts between different pages (i.e. recap, gamecast, boxscore, etc). - Switched "Tickets" link to "Gamecast" for games which are yet to start. - Added message to extension popup for days with no games. - Re-wrote extension popup in React (was previously jQuery) and added some loading and transition animations. Big woop. - Highlight winning team in extension popup. - Reduced width of "video highlights" and "latest" columns at the bottom of the page. - Added daily leaders and season leaders to ESPN stat dropdown. - Fixed a bug with the game strip sticking to the page. This was caused by an update on ESPN's end. - Fixed a bug where play-by-play data wasn't being formatted if it was updated after being added. ESPN have only just started doing this. On the upside you no longer need to refresh the page in order for updates to be added (this was a limitation on ESPN's end). - Improved formatting of shot charts. - Hardset a cookie to turn off autoplay on the box score page. This may affect autoplay on other ESPN pages but autoplay is nasty and should be discouraged. Hit me up on twitter @lenymo if you have an objection to this. - Removed localised times in extension popup due to a bug. - Updated the extension popup with game scores and quick links to box score (accessible by clicking the red basketball extension icon). - Updated Fan Duel scoring formula to be consistent with new official NBA fantasy scoring rules (these are accessibly by clicking the [ ] ADVANCED STATS checkbox once a game is over. - Updated the background color behind some team logos because they looked whack (Boston, Atlanta and Phoenix). - Released 19th October 2017. - Added highlighting of on-court players to box score. This works based on the five players whose stats were most recently updated, so it usually takes a short while to kick in after a game starts or after a stoppage (time out, end of quarter). The most reliable stats to indicate who's on court are +/- and minutes because these increase even if a player doesn't add any stats but this does mean it can take a while to update if no one scores for a minute or two. - Added handy links which appear when you hover the ESPN logo. I'll probably try and make this menu more obvious at some point. - Updated styling of new team logos. - Added team pace, offensive rating, defensive rating and net rating for College Hoops. These numbers currently differ slightly from basketball reference's numbers. - Added individual player advanced stats once a game is finished. Still ironing out bugs for this to work during a live game. - Added highlighting to play-by-play. - In the works: - Advanced team stats for college hoops. - Live individual player advanced stats. - Set all player links to open in a new tab. - Fixed player links for Australian users (if any other countries are experiencing issues let me know).
