Altlands is a Chrome Extension that helps you quickly analyze the alt tags on images of a webpage and assess their relevance to the page's content. By overlaying each image's alt text and calculating the match percentage between the alt text and the page title, Altlands provides valuable insights to optimize your images for better SEO. Overlay alt text on images with a single click. Calculate the match percentage between alt text and page title. Highlight images with missing alt tags using a sad face emoji (😞). Toggle the overlay on and off easily. How it works: When you activate Altlands on a webpage, it overlays each image with its corresponding alt text. If the alt text is missing, a sad face emoji (😞) is displayed instead, indicating an opportunity to improve SEO by adding a relevant alt tag. Additionally, Altlands calculates the match percentage between the image's alt text and the page title. This metric helps you assess whether the alt text is relevant to the page's content. For example, on a product page, the main product image should ideally have a nearly 100% match with the page title, ensuring that the image is properly optimized for search engines. Example use case: Imagine you have an e-commerce website with multiple product pages. On each product page, there is a main product image that should be optimized for search engines. By using Altlands, you can quickly assess whether the alt tags of these images are relevant and SEO-friendly. If the main product image has a nearly 100% match with the page title, it indicates that the alt tag is well-optimized for search engines. However, if you see a sad face emoji (😞) in the overlay, it highlights an opportunity to make the image more SEO-friendly by adding a relevant alt tag. This can help improve the search engine rankings of your product pages and increase the visibility of your products. By using Altlands, you can efficiently evaluate and optimize the alt tags across your website, ensuring better SEO performance and higher search engine rankings. Alt to title
Copies images alt attributes to their title, so everyone can see the alt text while hovering the image Alt attributes are meant to convey information about graphical elements (images, videos etc) so the visually impaired can still navigate your page without losing any context. These attributes are not meant to be seen by a regular browser. But one can want to easily see which image has a correct alt attribute, for testing or debugging purposes, or just to see how thses alt attributes are used by others (And also _if_ they are used by others). When installed, the extension will look for the page's source code, and duplicate the alt attribute into the element's title attribute, thus allowing to see the content by hovering the cursor on said element. V1. Initial upload, works only with images (img tags). The script also looks for DOM changes, so if new images are loaded, their alt attributes are managed as well.

You can choose to hide the repost button on posts with missing alt text, or even hide the complete post. The extension includes additional options to check the text of posts for potential accessibility issues, giving suggestion on how to avoid those issues.
