This is a quick and simple way to help automatically mute audio ads. Simply install the extension Our software will block sound from other open tabs if the tab is not selected. If you would like to prevent any sound from playing, just choose the "Silent Mode" and our extension will mute all the open tabs. To switch this extension off and allow audio from other tabs to play, you need to click on the extension icon and choose the "Off" button. WebSocket Tab Muter
Tab muter and unmuter based on hotkeys and/or a websocket. Can tie in with a CS:GO Game State Integration service to control Chrome audio based on your in-game status, or can be used independently as a convenient way to mute/unmute individual tabs or to quickly silence all of Chrome. Also, for no particular reason, incorporates a "close other tabs" feature. Set a hotkey to close everything in the current window except the active tab.
Tab Muter
Re-enables the "Mute Tab" feature once found in Chrome itself. Once upon a time, Chrome had a feature hidden away in chrome://flags to allow users to mute individual tabs by clicking the speaker icon next to the tab's title. This was deemed "not good enough", as the Chrome developers wanted to remove the need for users to manually control tab audio, so it was removed in favour of the "Mute Site" feature. Chrome can't yet automatically determine which tabs should be playing audio, so I made this extension to let the user make that decision. The button's in a different place due to Chrome API limitations, but apart from that, this extension should work exactly as the old "Mute Tab" feature did.
