Actionable info and tendencies about you and your Lichess Opponents at game time (e.g., performance, game results, speed, and more) Archetyped takes your chess game to the next level by showing key info about you and your opponent—right next to usernames, in the form of emojis—while you play. Why does that matter? Knowing if someone’s crushing it or on a losing streak can change how you approach the game. Think of it like bringing the advantages of game prep to online chess. 🔑 Why you need Archetyped 🔑 1. Get the scoop on yourself and your opponents at a glance —Win/loss streaks, recent rating swings, usual game speed, and how often they play. Knowing your opponent’s tendencies means you're not going in blind. 2. See Archetypes when they matter — These are more than just emojis. They’re a quick read on who you're facing, giving you insight in real-time so you can adapt your strategy. 3. Visualize all your data and insights in a clean dashboard at www.archetyped.lol — Easily track your performance trends, uncover hidden patterns in your gameplay, and see where you (and your opponents) excel or struggle. These insights give you a clear roadmap to improve your strategy and outsmart your competition. 🌟 The Archetypes 🌟 "Trending" = They’re either on fire or in a slump—playing 100+ points better or worse than their usual level over the last 10 games. "In Flow" = Winning a lot or losing a lot—this one shows if they’re on a streak (good or bad). "Wild Card" = They’re unpredictable—taking down players they shouldn’t, or dropping games they should’ve won. Expect surprises. "Devoted" = They play way more chess than most people. The grind never stops for them. "Speed" = They’ve got a favorite mode—Bullet, Blitz, or Rapid. You’ll know if they live in the fast lane. We’ve just launched a full website where you can log in with your Lichess account and get all the detailed insights across all games and archetypes. This isn’t just what you see in-game; you can dive deep into your chess profile across games. 1) See the full breakdown—all your archetypes, stats, and patterns. Track how your style evolves over time, and figure out where you can improve. 2) Get a better read on opponents—not just in one game but across all games. Know who you’re up against and how you're likely to play before you even play 1. e4. 3) If you’re serious about understanding your game (or your opponent’s), creating an account is a no-brainer. There’s free and paid tiers for those who want advanced filter options / more stats — but that’s up to you.

Move Highlighter
Highlight common moves in the Lichess engine analysis Move Highlighter helps you make sense of the Lichess engine analysis, which can help you get better at chess. Lichess's engine analysis normally shows five lines of chess notation in black and white. You can read through each line one at a time, but sometimes it's hard to understand what the engine is trying to tell you. Wouldn't it be great if you could quickly identify moves that exist in multiple lines? That's what Move Highlighter does. The most common moves are highlighted, each in its own color. If the move Nf3 is in all five lines, you'll be able to tell at a glance, because Nf3 will be highlighted in (for example) green, everywhere it shows up, and the human eye can quickly spot all the green highlighting a lot more easily than it can spot all the instances of text like "Nf3".

Rating systems do a great job pairing players with opponents of similar strengths but can also take some fun out of the game. I've found that I'm hesitant to play if I don't feel like I'm in peek condition because I'm worried about my rating. Though ratings can be useful as a measure of progress, seeing my rating fluctuate makes me play less chess, and as a consequence make my progress slower. That's ridiculous! This extension creates a ratingless experience on lichess.org. Ratings are still at work in the background pairing you with players of similar strength, but you never have to see them. This is the first version of the extension and there are still some ratings lingering around if you really go looking for them. Please let me know what you'd like to see improved, or if you find a bug. To disable the extension simply click the extension icon at the top right of chrome (it's a blue version of the lichess logo). The icon will turn gray indicating that the extension is inactive and ratings are no longer being hidden. Clicking the icon again will turn it blue and the extension will become active again.
