Facebook Messenger App Window
Open Facebook Messenger in a dedicated app-style window from the toolbar. Facebook Messenger on desktop changed in April 2026, with messaging having fully moved to Facebook.com/messages. This extension gives you a simple way to keep using FB Messenger like a separate app. This is a helper. It doesn’t change Messenger or track anything. It just gives you a better way to open it! Click the icon, and Messenger opens in its own window. It stays focused, clean, and out of your way while you browse. - Opens Facebook Messenger in a separate window - Keeps it feeling like its own app instead of a browser tab - Reuses the same window so you don’t get duplicates - Sends other links back to your normal browser *This extension is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Meta or Facebook.*
Better PWAs
Improved installable web apps for selected sites. Open source extension that replaces or injects manifests for selected sites. This allows installation of some sites, and enhanced experience for others. Currently supported sites are: * the Slack app (app.slack.com), which has a manifest added and start URL set so the CCT (toolbar at the top showing the origin) doesn't show on Threads and other pages. A maskable icon is added to improve ChromeOS installation. * github (github.com) which is made into a Tabbed mode app with a maskable icon on ChromeOS * Sydney Morning Herald (www.smh.com) has a minimal UI manifest added. The default for sites is for the extension to always update the manifest. This is the case for Slack and the Sydney Morning Herald. Just go to these sites and install like you can a well configured PWA. github use CSP to prevent modification of their manifest. To enable the extension to provide an updated manifest, the extension needs to be enabled to block the CSP headers. Click the extension icon on github.com to enable this. Once the extension is activated for the origin, reload the page and install the app. Then disable the extension to restore normal CSP. Please use the project github pages* to suggest sites to support. PRs welcome.
Messenger Chat Organizer
Organize Facebook Messenger chats by project and status Messenger Chat Organizer is a Chrome extension that augments Facebook Messenger (both facebook.com/messages and messenger.com) with project- and status-based tracking. It injects a filter bar and per-thread chips so you can classify each chat into custom projects and predefined statuses, then filter the sidebar to focus on what matters. Data lives entirely in the browser via IndexedDB, and the popup provides a simple toggle and status indicator.
